Hudson's Nutmeg Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredientes

  • 6 large potatoes
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 2 onions, julienned
  • 1 qt cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tb nutmeg
  • 4 tb cornstarch mixed with 3-4 tb water
  • salt
  • 1 tb butter
  • 1/2 c parmesan cheese, grated

Direcciones

  1. Slice potatoes in buttered baking dish
  2. Brown bacon, drain, reserve drippings
  3. Saute onions in 2 tb drippings
  4. Combine onions and bacon together
  5. Combine cream, peppers, and nutmeg in saucepan
  6. Bring to boil and add cornstarch slurry
  7. Sprinkle bacon/onion mixture over potatoes
  8. Top with sauce, sprinkle with parmesan cheese
  9. Bake at 400* 30-45 minutes
