%20except%20that%20the%20dish%20was%20yummy,%20easy%20to%20make%20and%20used%20available%20ingredients.%20This%20week%20is%20a%20different%20story,%20thanks%20to%20Gaye%20who%20selected%20the%20Spinach%20Ravioli%20with%20Basil%20Oil%20found%20in%20Donna's%20book,%20Seasons,%20on%20page%20174.%20%20It%20was%20not%20easy%20for%20me,%20nor%20did%20I%20have%20all%20the%20ingredients,%20nor%20did%20I%20think%20to%20use%20them,%20even%20when%20I%20did%20have%20them.%20%20Great%20way%20to%20start.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERavioli%20to%20me%20is%20an%20Italian%20dish%20with%20tomato%20sauce%20-%20boring%20probably%20but%20good.%20To%20make%20ravioli%20with%20Vietnamese%20paper%20rolls%20and%20lemon%20juice%20sounded%20out%20of%20kilter%20to%20me.%20%20The%20cheeses%20were%20right%20(Oy%20vey,%20I%20forgot%20the%20Mozzarella).%20%20Just%20another%20mistake%20in%20this%20recipe%20for%20me.%20%20%20Give%20me%20credit,%20I%20did%20use%20Ricotta%20and%20Parmesan.%20%20What's%20a%20little%20Mozzarella?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20started%20off%20feeling%20lost%20and%20never%20caught%20up.%20%20I%20didn't%20have%20the%20paper%20rolls%20so%20I%20used%20so%20I%20used%20rice%20paper%20which%20should%20have%20worked%20beautifully.%20%20They%20certainly%20worked%20for%20Brittany,%20where%20you%20will%20find%20the%20correct%20recipe.%20%20Note,%20she%20actuallty%20used%20the%20rice%20paper.%20I%20only%20thought%20I%20did.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20boiled%20the%20first%20one%20which%20was%20too%20large%20and%20promptly%20fell%20apart.%20%20I%20could%20have%20predicted%20that.%20%20I%20read%20what%20was%20on%20the%20packager%20of%20rice%20paper%20and%20it%20said%20to%20fry.%20%20Out%20went%20the%20boiling%20water%20and%20in%20came%20the%20oil%20and%20frying%20pan.%20%20Actually,%20the%20instructions%20said%20to%20deep%20fry%20and%20these%20would%20have%20turned%20out%20a%20lot%20better,%20if%20I%20had%20but%20I%20just%20can't%20seem%20to%20put%20food%20in%20all%20that%20oil%20so%20I%20simply%20fried%20and%20ended%20up%20with%20lots%20of%20gritty%20%22ravioli%22,%20if%20you%20have%20a%20good%20imagination.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20the%20basil%20oil%20but%20after%20frying%20these,%20there%20was%20no%20way%20to%20add%20more%20oil%20to%20this%20dish%20and%20it%20also%20went%20to%20the%20side.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20all%20this%20is%20going%20on,%20I%20am%20glopping%20spoonfuls%20of%20the%20ricotta-spinach%20mixture%20both%20into%20the%20pan%20and%20on%20the%20stove%20top.%20%20How%20silly%20of%20me?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20will%20be%20surprised%20that%20this%20has%20a%20happy%20ending;%20these%20were%20delicious,%20not%20at%20all%20like%20ravioli%20%20but%20really%20good.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20will%20probably%20not%20be%20surprised%20that%20this%20also%20had%20an%20unhappy%20ending%20and%20my%20husband%20after%20eating%20three%20of%20these%20asked%20what%20these%20were%20made%20of%20%20and%20I%20assured%20him,%20it%20was%20rice.%20%20He%20mentioned%20reading%20the%20ingredients%20and%20seeing%20wheat%20in%20the%20list.%20%20Another,%20%22oy%20vey%22.%20%20He%20was%20right%20and%20I%20am%20waiting%20for%20him%20to%20be%20feeling%20ill,%20later.%20%20He%20is%20probably%20waiting%20also%20but%20I%20am%20hiding%20in%20under%20the%20sink,%20typing%20this%20at%20my%20special%20hidden%20away%20computer%20that%20he%20does%20not%20know%20about.%20%20If%20you%20believe%20this%20last%20sentence,%20I%20will%20sell%20you%20the%20Brookly%20%20Bridge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow,%20for%20the%20fabulous%20photos.%20%20Do,%20please,%20check%20out%20the%20other%20members%20who%20I%20am%20sure%20will%20be%20less%20amusing%20but%20may%20have%20real%20food,%20for%20you%20to%20admire%20............%20please%20do%20come%20back%20again.%20%20I%20will%20try%20to%20behave%20myself.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBoiled%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
