Receta Hunan Vegetables
Hunan cuisine is one of the 8 traditional cuisines of China.
Ingredients:
- Chinese Lettuce (Bok Choy) – handful, finely sliced
- Sprouted Green Gram – handful
- Carrot – 2, grated
- Mushrooms – 8, finely chopped
- Red Chinese Cabbage – 1 cup, finely chopped
- Dry Chilli Flakes – 1/2 cup
- Red Wine Vinegar – 1 1/2 tsp
- Tomato Sauce – 1/2 cup
- Soya Sauce – 1/4 cup
- Gingelly Oil – 1 tblsp
- Sugar – 1 tblsp
- Groundnut Oil – 2 tblsp
- Ginger – 1 tblsp, grated
- Garlic – 4 cloves, crushed
Method:
1. Soak the chilli flakes in red wine vinegar for 30 minutes.
2. Mix the tomato sauce, soya sauce, gingelly oil and sugar in a bowl. Keep aside.
3. Heat groundnut oil in a pan.
4. Saute the ginger, garlic, lettuce, carrot and red chilli flakes (with the vinegar) for 3 to 4 minutes.
5. Add the sprouted green gram, cabbage and mushrooms.
6. Mix well and stir-fry for another 3 to 4 minutes.
7. Add tomato sauce and mix until well combine.
8. Remove and serve.
