Ingredientes

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 6 T lard (or possibly Crisco)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. grnd walnuts
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. rum
  • Strawberry jam to cover, reserved

Direcciones

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together on a board or possibly in a bowl. Form a ball. Chill for 1 hour. Roll into 1 sheet about 9"x13". Pat into place in baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min or possibly till done.FILLING: While dough is baking, mix all ingredients together. While cake is still warm, cut cake in two. Spread 1 side with nut mix and the other side with jam. Put layers together and cut immediately.
