Receta Hungarian Rum Cake

Ingredientes
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 pound butter
- 6 T lard (or possibly Crisco)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c. grnd walnuts
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. rum
- Strawberry jam to cover, reserved
Direcciones
- Mix all of the ingredients together on a board or possibly in a bowl. Form a ball. Chill for 1 hour. Roll into 1 sheet about 9"x13". Pat into place in baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min or possibly till done.FILLING: While dough is baking, mix all ingredients together. While cake is still warm, cut cake in two. Spread 1 side with nut mix and the other side with jam. Put layers together and cut immediately.
