,%20and%20unfortunately,%20our%20son%20is%20trying%20like%20hell%20to%20walk%20in%20his%20shoes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20do%20I%20handle%20this,%20you%20may%20ask?%20Simple.%20I%20bitch%20a%20lot.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYep,%20I%20learned%20long%20ago%20that%20there%20is%20just%20no%20converting%20him,%20no%20matter%20how%20hard%20I%20try,%20so%20I%20have%20mainly%20given%20up%20on%20trying%20to%20pull%20the%20%E2%80%9CDeceptively%20Delicious%E2%80%9D%20routine%20with%20his%20meals%20and%20I%20take%20my%20victories%20anywhere%20I%20can.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhenever%20the%20hubs%20has%20a%20job%20in%20the%20St.%20Louis%20area,%20he%20picks%20up%20the%20local%20papers%20on%20his%20way%20to%20work%20and%20reads%20them%20on%20his%20breaks.%20Fortunately%20for%20me,%20on%20Wednesdays,%20two%20of%20these%20newspapers%20publish%20a%20%E2%80%9CFood%E2%80%9D%20section%20and%20another%20includes%20a%20magazine%20insert%20called%20%E2%80%9CRelish%E2%80%9D.%20It%20is%20in%20this%20magazine%20that%20my%20picky%20eater%20found%20a%20new%20love.%20The%20hubs%20came%20home%20from%20work%20that%20day%20with%20the%20page%20folded%20back%20so%20I%20could%20get%20a%20good%20view%20of%20the%20full%20color%20picture%20that%20was%20making%20his%20mouth%20water.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20little%20jewel%20is%20dubbed%20%E2%80%9CIndian%20Style%20Grilled%20Chicken%E2%80%9D,%20so%20there%20is%20no%20claim%20being%20made%20that%20they%20are%20purveying%20anything%20traditional%20or%20specific,%20like%20Tandoori%20chicken,%20which%20I%20appreciate.%20The%20method%20for%20this%20chicken%20is%20similar,%20in%20that%20it%20utilizes%20a%20marinade%20of%20yogurt%20and%20various%20spices.%20Having%20attempted%20a%20similar%20recipe%20before,%20and%20being%20disappointed%20in%20the%20stove-top%20results,%20I%20decided%20this%20recipe%20was%20going%20to%20have%20to%20wait%20until%20I%20got%20my%20much-anticipated%20new%20grill%20for%20Mothers%20Day%20(Yes,%20its%20true,%20I%20knew%20that%20he%20would%20cave%20in%20and%20get%20it%20for%20me).%20In%20this%20manner,%20the%20chicken%20may%20have%20marinated%20a%20bit%20longer%20than%20intended,%20as%20the%20night%20I%20planned%20to%20cook%20it%20(the%20night%20after%20the%20grill%20came%20home)%20something%20came%20up%20unexpectedly%20and%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20manage%20to%20get%20the%20grill%20completely%20assembled.%20Hence,%20no%20chicken%20for%20dinner.%20(A%20quick%20peek%20at%20my%20new%20baby.%20Didn't%20I%20do%20a%20nice%20job%20putting%20her%20together?%20I%20am%20woman%20-%20hear%20me%20roar!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20on%20the%20ball%20the%20next%20night,%20however,%20rising%20early%20the%20next%20morning%20to%20work%20on%20the%20grill%20again%20and%20getting%20it%20upright%20in%20time%20to%20put%20some%20flame%20to%20the%20chicken%20thighs%20that%20had%20been%20lounging%20in%20the%20fridge%20nearly%2048%20hours%20at%20that%20point.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow,%20I%20never%20claimed%20to%20be%20queen%20of%20the%20%E2%80%98que.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20inaugural%20dinner%20had%20its%20ups%20and%20downs%20and%20I%20did%20manage%20to%20get%20almost%20every%20piece%20of%20skin%20to%20stick%20like%20glue%20to%20the%20hot%20grates,%20but%20that%20didn%E2%80%99t%20deter%20me.%20I%20was%20a%20woman%20on%20a%20mission.%20And,%20in%20the%20end,%20beauty%20IS%20only%20skin%20deep.What%20was%20under%20the%20skin%20is%20another%20story.%20Luscious%20and%20moist,%20tender%20and%20flavorful,%20the%20Man%20of%20the%20House%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20stop%20raving%20about%20how%20good%20it%20was,%20and%20frankly,%20I%20have%20to%20agree.%20This%20one%20will%20definitely%20be%20on%20the%20menu%20again%20this%20summer.%20And%20next%20time....he%20better%20not%20make%20off%20with%20all%20the%20leftovers%20again!%20Indian%20Style%20Grilled%20Chicken%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Combine%20all%20ingredients%20(except%20cooking%20spray%20and%20chicken)%20in%20a%20large%20bowl;%20stir%20until%20well%20blended.%20Add%20chicken,%20turning%20to%20coat%20well.%20Cover%20and%20refrigerate%20at%20least%208%20hours%20and%20up%20to%2024%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Prepare%20grill%20and%20spray%20grate%20with%20cooking%20spray.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Remove%20chicken%20from%20marinade%20and%20place%20on%20a%20platter.%20Discard%20marinade.%20Grill%20chicken%20skin%20side%20down%206%20to%208%20minutes,%20turn%20and%20grill%20second%20side%206%20to%208%20minutes.%20Serves%208.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelish%20Magazine%20(http://www.relishmag.com/)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
