Indian Bread Pudding (Shahi Tukra)

Ingredientes

  • 1 x 410 gram tin evaporated lowfat milk, (14oz)
  • 6 x Schwartz Cardamom Pods, lightly crushed
  • 1 x Schwartz Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 pch Schwartz Saffron, (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 4 slc White bread
  • 100 gm Unsalted butter or possibly ghee, (4oz) Minced Pistachio nuts Minced glace cherries

Direcciones

  1. Place evaporated lowfat milk, spices and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to the boil.
  2. Simmer gently for 10 min. Remove the Cardamom Pods and Cinnamon Stick.
  3. Meanwhile, cut each slice of bread into 4 triangles. Heat half the butter in a large frying pan and fry half the bread on each side till golden brown.
  4. Repeat with remaining butter and bread. Place the bread on a serving plate, pour over the lowfat milk mix.
  5. Sprinkle over the Pistachios and glace cherries to serve.
