%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20in%20an%20oiled%20bowl%20and%20top%20with%20a%20damn%20cloth%20and%20allow%20the%20douh%20to%20rise%20for%20at%20least%20a%20half%20hour.%20The%20longer%20it%20has%20to%20rise%20the%20more%20flavor%20it%20will%20have...%20I%20gave%20mine%20about%202%201/2%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20the%20dough%20has%20risen%20pinch%20the%20dough%20off%20into%20sections%20to%20be%20rolled%20into%20a%20long%20rope%20and%20formed%20into%20pretzel.%20(This%20is%20the%20area%20where%20I%20had%20the%20most%20trouble...%20I%20could%20not%20get%20the%20dough%20to%20roll%20out%20all%20long%20and%20it%20was%20very%20hard%20it%20wanted%20to%20just%20spring%20back%20up...)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20you%20have%20formed%20the%20pretzels%20then%20take%20the%202%20cups%20of%20warm%20water%20and%20disolve%20in%20the%202%20tablespoons%20of%20baking%20soda...%20stir%20until%20disolved.%20This%20is%20your%20soda%20water%20bath.%20Prepare%20a%20baking%20sheet%20and%20line%20it%20with%20parchment%20paper.%20(I%20recomend%20you%20spray%20it%20down%20with%20Pam%20or%20the%20cooking%20spray%20of%20your%20choice%20as%20I%20did%20not%20the%20first%20time%20and%20they%20all%20cooked%20to%20the%20paper.)%20Once%20you%20have%20formed%20the%20pretzel%20dip%20it%20entirely%20in%20the%20soda%20bath%20then%20place%20on%20the%20greased%20parchment%20paper.%20Bake%20at%20450%20degrees%20F%20for%20about%209%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20you%20have%20removed%20them%20from%20the%20oven%20dip%20them%20in%20the%20melted%20butter%20so%20they%20are%20coated%20entirely%20and%20then%20top%20with%20your%20choice%20of%20topping.%20I%20did%20some%20butter%20with%20salt%20and%20the%20others%20I%20did%20in%20a%20cinnamon%20and%20sugar%20mixture.%20When%20doing%20the%20cinnamon%20and%20sugar%20i%20mixed%20the%20cinnamon%20and%20sugar%20in%20a%20bowl%20and%20once%20the%20pretzel%20was%20dipped%20in%20th%20butter%20i%20placed%20it%20in%20the%20bowl%20and%20spooned%20the%20mixture%20onto%20it%20until%20t%20was%20covered.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESince%20I%20had%20so%20much%20trouble%20forming%20the%20pretzel%20shape%20I%20simply%20made%20what%20I%20called%20%22pretzel%20bites%22%20with%20some%20of%20the%20dough.%20They%20almost%20looked%20like%20donut%20holes.%20They%20turned%20out%20great%20and%20were%20perfectly%20bite%20size!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20for%20the%20question%20of%20time...%20%22did%20it%20meet%20our%20expectations?%22%20Hot%20out%20of%20the%20oven%20they%20were%20practically%20identical%20to%20all%20of%20my%20memories%20of%20%22The%20Mall%20Pretzel%22%20The%20next%20day,%20however,%20they%20tasted%20like....%20well%20like%20a%20mall%20pretzel%20that%20you%20took%20home,%20put%20in%20a%20tupperware%20container,%20and%20heated%20up%20the%20next%20day%20:O)%20All%20and%20all%20I%20will%20defenitly%20make%20these%20again...%20especailly%20the%20pretzel%20bites.%20If%20anyone%20has%20any%20ideas%20or%20opnions%20for%20next%20time%20let%20me%20know!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESinfully%20yours,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeather%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
