Italian Style Chicken Casserole

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 kg chicken (breasts, legs, thighs)
  • 1 c. onions, medium
  • 2 tsp garlic, crushed
  • 60 gm butter
  • 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 x tomatoes
  • 1 c. red wine
  • 1 pkt French onion soup mix
  • 1 tsp basil, minced salt, pepper

Direcciones

  1. Dice onion and tomatoes.
  2. If using a whole chicken cut into pcs (legs, breasts, thighs, wings) and season well.
  3. Heat butter and oil in pan, add in chicken, and cook till chicken is browned, turning often.
  4. Add in finely minced onion and crushed garlic, cook a further 2 min till softened. Transfer to ovenproof dish. Add in tomatoes, wine, gravy, basil, salt and pepper. Mix ingredients slightly.
  5. Cover, bake in moderate oven 370F/185C for 40 min or possibly till chicken is tender.
