%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20met%20up%20with%20a%20bajillion%20family%20members%20and%20took%20over%20a%20small%20Po'boy%20shop%20the%20night%20of%20the%20first%20Saints%20Preseason%20game.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Boy%20went%20his%20own%20way,%20nixing%20the%20po'boys%20(the%20heathen),%20and%20ordered%20hot%20wings.%20%20He%20was%20tickled%20to%20death%20eating%20wings%20and%20watching%20football.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20tickled%20that%20he%20made%20sure%20to%20announce%20%22I'm%20eating%20wings%20and%20watching%20football!%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20know,%20just%20incase%20no%20one%20noticed%20his%20greasy%20orange%20fingers%20and%20the%20pile%20of%20bones.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20thought%20maybe%20he%20was%20just%20into%20football%20food.%20%20He's%20never%20shown%20an%20interest%20in%20watching%20a%20game.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESince%20his%20wing-and-football%20night%20out,%20he%20pesters%20us%20endlessly:%20%22what%20time%20does%20the%20game%20start?%22.%20%20He%20has%20favorite%20players%20(Cooks,%20Byrd,%20Brees).%20%20And%20he%20makes%20it%20a%20point%20to%20wear%20his%20Saints%20shirt%20on%20game%20day.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20make%20it%20a%20point%20to%20have%20football%20food%20ready%20for%20him%20on%20game%20day.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EJust%20in%20case%20he's%20only%20in%20it%20for%20the%20food.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20of%20my%20favorite%20football%20foods%20(or%20any%20party%20food)%20is%20chips%20and%20dip.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoast%20the%20two%20peppers%20(see%20below).%20%20After%20peeling,%20cut%20open%20the%20peppers%20and%20remove%20the%20seeds.%20%20Chop%20the%20peppers%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20corn%20in%20a%20non-stick%20skillet%20heated%20over%20medium%20high.%20%20Dry%20roast%20in%20the%20skillet%20until%20the%20kernels%20just%20start%20to%20brown%20in%20places.%20%20Stir%20in%20the%20chopped%20peppers.%20%20Allow%20to%20cool%20while%20you%20mix%20the%20remaining%20ingredients%20together%20in%20a%20bowl.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFold%20the%20corn%20mixture%20into%20the%20cream%20cheese%20mixture.%20%20Refrigerate%20for%20about%20an%20hour%20before%20serving.%20%20Serve%20with%20tortilla%20chips.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20roast%20the%20peppers:%20%20Turn%20on%20the%20broiler.%20%20Place%20a%20piece%20of%20foil%20on%20a%20cookie%20sheet.%20%20%20Place%20the%20peppers%20on%20the%20foil%20and%20put%20under%20the%20broiler.%20%20Periodically%20check%20the%20peppers%20and%20turn%20them%20to%20char%20the%20skin%20evenly.%20%20Place%20the%20peppers%20in%20a%20plastic%20bag%20or%20bowl%20sealed%20with%20plastic%20wrap%20to%20help%20steam%20off%20the%20skins.%20When%20the%20peppers%20are%20cool%20enough%20to%20handle,%20flake%20the%20skin%20off%20with%20your%20hands.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMore%20game%20day%20snacks...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20past...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELinking%20with:%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
