Ingredientes

  • 1 cup – Raw rice ( uncooked)
  • 1 big lemon sized – Tamarind
  • 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp – Jaggery (powder /grated)
  • Salt to taste
  • For grinding:
  • 1/4 tsp – Oil
  • 1 tbsp – Coriander seeds / dhania / malli
  • 1 tsp – Fenugreek seeds / Methi / Vendhayam
  • 1 tsp - Peppercorns / milagu
  • 1 tbsp – Sesame seeds ( white / black)
  • Seasonings:
  • 3 tbsp – Sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp – Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp – Split black gram without skin / Ulunthu
  • 1 tbsp – Bengal gram / Kadalai paruppu / chana dal
  • 3 to 4 nos – Dry red chillies
  • 5 tbsp – Peanuts roasted (remove skin)
  • Fresh curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp – Asafoetida
