,%20Then....there%20is%20a%20tote%20bag,%20an%20E-Z%20Deco%20Icing%20Pen,%20Edible%20Markers%20(SO%20COOL!!!)%20and%20a%20set%20of%20Christmas%20cookie%20cutters.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20set-up%20is%20perfect!%20Especially%20for%20kids.%20But%20since%20my%20kids%20are%20adults%20now,%20I%20had%20to%20borrow%20one,%20just%20to%20prove%20how%20much%20fun%20kids%20will%20have%20with%20this%20stuff.%20I%20let%20him%20do%20it%20all...start%20to%20finish%20(I%20did%20help%20with%20rolling%20out%20the%20cookie%20dough%20a%20little)%20and%20he%20was%20busy%20all%20day.%20Loving%20it.%20From%20mixing%20to%20icing%20to%20drawing%20with%20the%20pens.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20he%20did%20a%20great%20job!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOf%20course%20an%20adult%20would%20have%20loads%20of%20fun%20too.%20And%20I%20did,%20Only%20I%20made%20other%20things.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20of%20course%20I%20made%20the%20Triple%20Chocolate%20Chip%20Cookies%20but%20those%20didn't%20last%20long%20enough%20to%20photograph.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20I%20personally%20had%20the%20most%20fun%20doing,%20was%20making%20Shortbread%20Pecan%20Pic%20Bars.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEasy%20and%20delicious.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20started%20off%20by%20following%20the%20recipe%20for%20Krusteaz%20Shorbread.%20Instead%20of%20rolling%20it%20out%20and%20cutting%20it%20into%20rectangles,%20I%20placed%20the%20dough%20in%20a%2013%20x%209%20casserole%20dish%20that%20was%20lined%20with%20parchment%20paper.%20I%20pressed%20it%20along%20the%20bottom,%20as%20evenly%20as%20possible,%20and%20up%20the%20sides%20a%20bit.%20This%20went%20into%20a%20375'%20oven%20and%20baked%20for%20about%2015%20-%2020%20minutes,%20or%20until%20golden%20brown.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20I%20didn't%20do...was%20prick%20the%20bottom%20with%20a%20fork.%20I%20didn't%20want%20holes%20that%20would%20allow%20the%20pecan%20mixture%20to%20escape%20through.%20Instead,%20once%20it%20was%20out%20of%20the%20oven,%20I%20let%20it%20cool%20some%20and%20then%20pressed%20the%20dough%20down.%20I%20does%20puff%20up....so%20in%20order%20to%20have%20a%20smooth%20surface%20for%20the%20pecan%20mixture...you%20will%20want%20to%20press%20it%20down%20with%20your%20hands.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut...make%20sure%20it's%20cool%20enough%20to%20the%20touch%20so%20you%20don't%20burn%20yourself.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20I%20let%20it%20cool%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20the%20dough%20crust%20cooled,%20I%20prepared%20the%20filling:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20sauce%20pan%20over%20high%20heat,%20combine%20the%20butter,%20brown%20sugar,%20honey,%20granulated%20sugar,%20cream%20and%20salt.%20Bring%20to%20a%20boil,%20stirring%20constantly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBoil%20for%20about%201%20minute,%20or%20until%20the%20mixture%20coats%20the%20back%20of%20your%20spoon.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20heat%20and%20stir%20in%20the%20pecans%20and%20vanilla.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20into%20your%20crust.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReduce%20the%20oven%20heat%20down%20to%20325'%20and%20bake%20for%20about%2040-45%20minutes,%20or%20until%20the%20mixture%20is%20bubbly.%20If%20you%20want%20a%20crispier%20crust,%20you%20can%20bake%20it%20a%20bit%20longer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAllow%20to%20cool%20completely%20before%20cutting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20*POOF*%20you%20have%20yummy%20little%20sweets%20to%20share%20with%20everyone.%20Along%20with%20all%20the%20other%20cookies%20you've%20baked.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOk...now%20for%20the%20important%20stuff....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20do%20you%20get%20a%20chance%20at%20winning%20all%20these%20goodies?%20Look%20below%20and%20do%20what%20it%20says.%20The%20more%20entries,%20the%20better%20your%20chance!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20Rafflecopter%20giveaway%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20giveaway%20is%20open%20to%20continental%20US%20residents%20only.%20This%20giveaway%20will%20run%20from%20Wednesday,%20December%207,%202016%20through%20Saturday,%20December%2010,%202016%20(11:59%20pm%20PT).%20A%20winner%20will%20be%20notified%20within%2048%20hours%20of%20the%20close%20of%20the%20contest%20and%20given%2048%20hours%20to%20respond%20before%20a%20new%20winner%20is%20chosen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20not%20compensated%20for%20this%20post,%20however%20Krusteaz%20supplied%20me%20with%20samples.%20They%20are%20also%20supplying%20the%20products%20for%20the%20giveaway.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAll%20opinions%20are%20my%20own.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
