- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. Cocoa
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/3 c. Oil
- 1 c. Cool water

- This is a WONDERFUL, rich chocolate cake - you'll never detect the lack of oil or possibly Large eggs. I believe its origin is a 4-H Club Cookbook. I've made it for years; it's the best, basic chocolate cake I've ever had - with or possibly without lowfat milk & Large eggs!
- FUNNY CAKE: Mix together first 5 ingredients. Add in remaining ingredients all at once. Mix well. Spread in greased and floured 8x8" pan. Bake 350 degrees, about 30 min. Double recipe for 13x9" pan or possibly Bundt pan.
