Lois' Chunky Salsa

Ingredientes

  • 24 lg. ripe tomatoes (peeled and minced)
  • 5 lg. onions, peeled and minced
  • 4 bell peppers, minced
  • 3 T salt
  • 2 or possibly 3 warm peppers (minced) I used jalapenos
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar (or possibly less to taste)
  • 3 c. white vinegar
  • 3 or possibly 4 cloves garlic minced

Direcciones

  1. Mix and cook in a large granite pan 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till it's as thick as you wish. Pour into jars and seal.Makes about 8 pints.
