Ingredientes

  • 1 (1 1/4 lb.) boneless beef round steak, cut 1" thick
  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 c. red wine
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. finely minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry leaf oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry leaf basil

Direcciones

  1. Trim any visible fat from steak. In a casserole dish or possibly shallow container with a tight fitting lid, combine remaining ingredients for a marinade. Place steak in marinade, turning to coat both sides. Cover and chill at least 8 hrs or possibly overnight, turning steak several times.
  2. Preheat broiler or possibly grill. Remove steak from marinade. Broil or possibly grill till medium-rare or possibly medium, about 5 min on each side. Don't over cook. If cooked well done, steak may be tough.
  3. Holding a sharp knife at a 45 degree angle, slice steak across grain as thinly as possible. Makes about 6 small servings (2 ounce. beef, 177 calories) or possibly 3 large servings (4 ounce. beef, 354 calories).
