Ingredientes

  • 2 c. no salt added tomato paste
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 x onion, minced
  • 1 stalk celery, minced
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 pch cloves
  • 1 pch cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 pch basil, crushed
  • 1 pch tarragon, crushed
  • 1 pch freshly grnd black pepper
  • 1 tsp molasses

Direcciones

  1. Mix first 6 ingredients in blender.
  2. Place in large saucepan on stove. If blender is not available, proceed with cooking and run through a strainer and cheesecloth at the end of the cooking procedure.
  3. Add in remaining ingredients to saucepan.
  4. Simmer over low to medium heat till reduced by half, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Let cold. Chill in sealed containers.
  6. May be canned if you like.
