Lumpia (Philippine Meat Rolls)

Ingredientes

  • 1 pound grnd beef or possibly pork
  • 3 carrots shredded
  • 2 c. cabbage, coarsely shredded
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 c. frzn French cut green beans
  • 2 c. bean sprouts
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 pkg. won ton or possibly egg roll wrappers

Direcciones

  1. In large skillet or possibly wok, combine grnd meat and onion. Cook on medium heat, stirring. Add in carrots, cabbage, green beans and bean sprouts, one at a time, stirring as they cook. Add in garlic pwdr and soy sauce. Allow liquid to cook off the mix. Set aside and allow to cold.
  2. Place mix in center of wrapper. Fold corner nearest you 2/3 of the way over mix, then right side, then left side, then roll and secure with water and press. Heat oil to 375 degrees and fry lumpia, a few at a time, till golden.
