Ingredientes

  • 4 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk, lukewarm
  • 1/2 lb Butter
  • 2 x Egg Yolks
  • 2 whl Large eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 2 x Cakes Yeast
  • 1 lb Grnd Poppyseed
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Honey or possibly Maple Syrup
  • 1 c. Warm Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Lemon Rind
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice White Raisins (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Crumble yeast in a c.; add in water and sugar; let it stand till you mix butter and flour as for pie crust. Make a well and add in whole Large eggs, salt and yeast mix. Mix till smooth and dough leaves the side of the bowl.
  2. divide into 4 pcs and roll out as thin as possible; spread w/ filling.
  3. Roll as for jelly roll. Place on a greased pan, brush w/ egg yolk that has been beaten. Let stand in hot place for 1 hr. Bake at 350 for 30-45 min or possibly til brown. FILLING: Mix all together and cold. May substitute 2 ts. vanilla for the lemon rind and lemon juice.
