Ingredientes

  • 3 c. Water
  • 1 lb Unpeeled medium-size fresh shrimp
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1/3 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 x Green onions, minced
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Beau Monde seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Warm sauce
  • 1 lrg Egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 c. Italian-seasoned bread crumbs, divided
  • 1/4 c. Vegetable oil

Direcciones

  1. Bring water to a boil; add in shrimp, and cook 3 to 5 min or possibly till shrimp turn pink. Drain well; rinse with cool water. Chill. Peel, devein, and chop shrimp.
  2. Heat butter in a heavy saucepan over a low heat; add in flour, stirring till smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add in lowfat milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till mix is thickened and bubbly.
  3. Stir in green onions and next 6 ingredients.
  4. Combine shrimp, egg, 1/2-c. breadcrumbs, and sauce mix. Shape into 4 patties; dredge in remaining crumbs. Pour oil to depth of 1/2 inch into a skillet. Fry in warm oil till golden brown, turning once. Drain.
