Receta Maple Apple Baked Beans with Apple Sausage
Ingredientes
- Begin by soaking in water overnight or up to 48 hours:
- 1 1/2 pounds dry white beans
- Saute together until softened but not browned:
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 large red onion, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Cook until the onions and garlic are softened, then add along with the drained soaked beans to an oven safe dutch oven or roaster and:
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 3 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chipotle powder
- 1 tbsp dried thyme
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- one 28 ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp dry mustard powder
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 pounds low-fat apple sausage
