.%20%20They%20are%20so%20homey,%20just%20like%20a%20warm%20hug%20from%20a%20much%20beloved%20Gran.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don't%20know%20what%20it%20is%20about%20them%20.%20.%20.%20stodgy,%20yes%20.%20.%20.%20filling,%20yes%20.%20.%20.%20simple,%20yes%20.%20.%20.%20there%20is%20nothing%20complicated%20or%20fancy%20about%20them,%20but%20somehow%20they%20always%20come%20across%20really%20well.%20%20They%20are%20a%20bit%20like%20the%20country%20cousin%20at%20a%20city%20ball%20.%20.%20.%20you%20can't%20help%20but%20really%20warm%20to%20them%20and%20want%20to%20spend%20time%20with%20them,%20even%20though%20there%20are%20much%20fancier%20puds%20to%20be%20had.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESomehow%20I%20ended%20up%20with%20an%20outrageous%20amount%20of%20marmalade%20in%20my%20larder.%20%20The%20Toddster%20LOVES%20marmalade%20on%20his%20toast.%20%20I%20like%20it%20too,%20but%20not%20as%20much%20as%20he%20does.%20%20If%20I%20see%20it%20on%20offer%20I%20will%20pick%20up%20a%20jar.%20%20I%20have%20yet%20to%20make%20my%20own,%20but%20perhaps%20this%20winter%20I%20will%20give%20it%20a%20go.%20%20We'll%20see.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESooooo%20%20.%20.%20.%20anyways,%20I%20have%20ended%20up%20with%20something%20like%204%20jars%20of%20it%20and%20so%20I%20thought%20I%20would%20use%20some%20of%20it%20up%20today%20to%20make%20the%20Toddster%20one%20of%20his%20favourite%20puddings%20.%20.%20.%20Marmalade%20Pudding.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt's%20very%20old%20school%20dinnerish%20really,%20but%20he%20has%20very%20fond%20memories%20of%20his%20old%20school%20dinners,%20and%20I%20confess%20to%20having%20a%20certain%20fondness%20to%20the%20pudding%20side%20of%20things%20myself.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServed%20warm,%20cut%20into%20wedges,%20and%20embellished%20with%20lashings%20of%20a%20deliciously%20rich%20custard%20flavoured%20lightly%20with%20Grand%20Marnier,%20it%20went%20down%20a%20real%20treat%20for%20both%20of%20us.%20%20I%20cut%20the%20recipe%20in%20half%20and%20made%20a%20smaller%20portion%20as%20I%20don't%20have%20a%203%20pint%20pudding%20basin%20and%20it%20turned%20out%20beautifully.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt's%20nice%20to%20know%20that%20you%20can%20cut%20things%20down%20and%20they%20will%20still%20work%20fine.%20%20But%20if%20you%20are%20game,%20do%20make%20the%20larger%20one%20as%20%20this%20freezes%20beautifully,%20cut%20into%20individual%20portions%20and%20wrapped%20for%20the%20freezer.%20%20That%20way%20you%20can%20always%20have%20a%20tasty%20pudding%20at%20the%20ready.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Marmalade%20Pudding%20with%20a%20Grand%20Marnier%20Custard*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%206%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
