Meat Balls In Wine Gravy

Ingredientes

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 3/4 c. bread and cracker crumbs
  • 1 sm. onion, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 c. cream or possibly lowfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 c. oil or possibly butter
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 c. red wine

Direcciones

  1. Combine meat, crumbs, onion, egg, cream and salt. Shape into small balls. Roll in flour and drop in warm oil in skillet, a few at a time. Brown well and transfer into bowl. Blend flour with remaining oil and stir in wine, water, salt and pepper to taste. Cook and stir till smooth. Put meat balls back into gravy and simmer for 30 min. Serves 4.
