Celebration Roast, by the Field Roast Grain Meat Company, is a rich, savory, vegetarian roast made from wheat, lentils, and lots of vegetables, and stuffed with a squash/apple mixture. I recommend several Field Roast products (more info at the end of this post) in Homestyle Favorites Made Meatless, and the Celebration Roast would be an especially good option for your meatless Thanksgiving dinner. %20in%20Homestyle%20Favorites%20Made%20Meatless,%20and%20the%20Celebration%20Roast%20would%20be%20an%20especially%20good%20option%20for%20your%20meatless%20Thanksgiving%20dinner.%20But%20don%E2%80%99t%20celebrate%20just%20once%20a%20year!%20I%20prepared%20this%20easy%20dish%20the%20other%20night%20to%20rave%20reviews.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EField%20Roast%20Celebration%20Roast%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst,%20I%20thawed%20out%20the%20roast%20then%20put%20it%20in%20a%20small%20roasting%20dish,%20sprayed%20it%20lightly%20with%20olive%20oil,%20and%20baked%20at%20325%20degrees%20for%20about%2030%20minutes.%20%20I%20must%20say,%20the%20aroma%20was%20wonderful!%20It%E2%80%99s%20always%20nice%20when%20a%20meal%20has%20your%20mouth%20watering%20in%20anticipation,%20and%20the%20Celebration%20Roast%20didn%E2%80%99t%20disappoint%20in%20this%20regard.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile,%20I%20made%20a%20quick%20%20fruit%20sauce.%20I%20started%20with%20a%20pint%20jar%20of%20mixed%20fruit%20that%20I%20canned%20last%20summer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMixed%20Fruit%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20particular%20mixture%20contained%20papaya,%20apricots,%20peaches%20and%20cherries,%20but%20any%2016%20oz.%20jar%20of%20fruit%20in%20light%20syrup%20would%20work%20equally%20well.%20Good%20choices%20might%20be%20peaches,%20cherries,%20plums,%20or%20apples.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20the%20fruit%20and%20syrup%20with%201/8%20tsp%20ground%20cloves,%201/2%20tsp%20ground%20ginger,%202%20Tbsp%20cognac,%20and%201%20Tbsp%20cornstarch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMaking%20the%20Fruit%20Sauce%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBring%20the%20mixture%20to%20a%20boil%20over%20medium-high%20heat.%20Reduce%20heat%20to%20medium%20and%20stir%20constantly%20until%20slightly%20thickened,%20about%205%20minutes.%20Remove%20from%20heat%20and%20add%201%20Tbsp%20of%20butter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESlice%20the%20Celebration%20Roast%20and%20spoon%20the%20sauce%20over%20for%20a%20dish%20that%20looks%20like%20you%20cooked%20all%20day!%20I%20served%20it%20with%20baked%20sweet%20potatoes%20and%20steamed%20baby%20peas.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECelebration%20Roast%20and%20Fruit%20Sauce%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20husband%20ate%20the%20leftovers%20the%20next%20day%20in%20a%20sandwich.%20The%20twin%20grand%20daughters%20(21%20months%20old)%20LOVED%20it%20and%20ended%20up%20eating%20half%20of%20his%20sandwich.%20%20It%E2%80%99s%20hard%20to%20go%20wrong%20with%20a%20meal%20that%20enjoyed%20by%20babies%20and%20adults%20alike.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Field%20Roast%20Grain%20Meat%20Company%20is%20based%20here%20in%20the%20Northwest%20but%20you%20can%20find%20their%20products%20all%20over%20the%20country.%20They%20have%20quite%20a%20few%20products%20including%20sausages,%20deli%20slices,%20roasts%20and%20meatloaf.%20One%20thing%20I%20particularly%20like%20about%20their%20products%20is%20that%20they%20are%20so%20versatile.%20Instead%20of%20making%20a%20meatless%20chicken%20product%20or%20a%20meatless%20beef%20product,%20they%20make%20a%20vegetarian%20grain%20meat.%20I%20haven%E2%80%99t%20tried%20all%20of%20their%20products,%20because%20even%20though%20I%20live%20in%20the%20Northwest%20I%20can%E2%80%99t%20purchase%20their%20products%20locally.%20So,%20I%20stock%20up%20when%20I%20travel%20to%20Seattle.%20But%20I%20do%20recommend%20using%20the%20Smoked%20Tomato%20Roast%20or%20deli%20slices%20in%20the%20Homestyle%20Favorites%20Made%20Meatless%20beef%20or%20ham%20based%20recipes.%20The%20Celebration%20Roast%20does%20contain%20more%20sodium%20than%20I%20would%20like,%20although%20it%20appears%20that%20the%20salt%20must%20be%20naturally%20occurring%20as%20salt%20is%20not%20listed%20as%20a%20separate%20ingredient.%20So%20when%20preparing%20a%20Celebration%20Roast%20meal,%20be%20aware%20to%20limit%20salt%20in%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20meal.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
