%20I%20didn't%20regret%20it%20a%20bit!%20I'm%20so%20glad%20to%20know%20the%20place%20and%20have%20had%20the%20chance%20to%20try%20it%20out.%20Their%20steak%20is%20so%20good:%20juicy%20and%20tender.%20It's%20perfectly%20cooked%20to..hmm..perfection.%20It's%20the%20word%20I'm%20looking%20for.%20The%20atmosphere%20is%20old-fashioned%20but%20cozy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20come%20in%20on%20Friday%20or%20Saturday%20night%20without%20making%20a%20reservation,%20the%20wait%20might%20be%20about%20a%20half%20hour.%20We%20made%20a%20reservation%20for%20Friday%20and%20when%20we%20arrived,%20it%20was%20half-full.%20We%20had%20actually%20tried%20to%20walk%20in%20once%20on%20Saturday%20night%20and%20the%20wait%20was%2045%20mins!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETheir%20menus%20are%20petty%20straightforward.%20There%20are%20not%20many%20selections,%20which%20I%20like.%20Steak,%20chicken,%20and%20seafood.%20%20The%20price%20is%20very%20reasonable.%20The%20cheapest%20is%20chicken%20breast%20at%20about%20$18.%20The%20wait%20staff%20is%20excellent.%20They%20are%20friendly%20and%20know%20what%20they%20are%20talking%20about.%20You%20know%20what%20I%20mean?%20Sometimes%20at%20some%20fancy%20restaurants%20they%20don't%20seem%20to%20know%20what%20they%20are%20talking%20about.%20They%20have%20good%20wine%20selection%20at%20Melrose.%20Yes!%20I%20needed%20help%20from%20our%20waiter%20to%20get%20the%20lightest%20wine%20but%20is%20still%20good%20with%20steak.%20I%20got%20Rose%20White%20Zinfandel,%20a%20wine%20from%20Kenwood,%20CA.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20all%20ended%20up%20getting%20the%20same%20thing%20-%20Filet%20Mignon.%20There%20are%202%20sizes;%2015%20and%209%20oz.%20It%20comes%20with%20grilled%20vegetables%20and%20your%20choice%20of%20potatoes.%20I%20got%20my%209%20oz.%20Filet%20Mignon%20with%20garlic%20mash%20potato.%20It's%20really%20good%20but%20I%20think%20next%20time%20I%20should%20try%20Parmesan%20baked%20potatoes.%20It%20comes%20with%20a%20warm%20roll%20and%20side%20salad.%20You%20can%20substitute%20the%20green%20salad%20with%20a%20small%20Caesar%20salad%20for%20$2%20extra.%20The%20salad%20was%20so%20fresh.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMedium-%20rare%20Filet%20Mignon%20with%20garlic%20mash%20potato.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMedium-%20well%20Filet%20Mignon%20with%20baked%20parmesan%20potatoes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20bad%20habit%20is%20I'm%20never%20satisfied%20with%20my%20own%20dish.%20I%20always%20pick%20out%20some%20food%20from%20my%20husband's%20and%20friends'%20plates.%20Is%20it%20bad?%20Oh%20well...One%20thing%20I%20learned%20from%20one%20of%20my%20close%20friends%20that%20evening%20was%20that%20when%20I%20order%20steak%20I%20should%20tell%20them%20I%20want%20pink%20and%20juicy.%20You%20have%20to%20let%20them%20know%20%22I%20don't%20care%20if%20this%20is%20rare,%20medium%20rare,%20or%20medium%20well,%20I%20just%20want%20PINK%20inside%20and%20JUICY%22.%20This%20is%20because%20when%20you%20order%20medium%20rare,%20it%20depends%20on%20how%20a%20chef%20interprets%20%22medium%20rare%22.%20You%20might%20get%20too%20rare%20with%20blood%20juice.%20Yep,%20that's%20what%20I%20learned%20that%20evening.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet's%20go%20back%20to%20the%20steak%20menus:%20they%20offer%20Filet%20Mignon,%20New%20York%20Steak,%20and%20T-bone.%20It's%20what%20they%20are%20famous%20for.%20Simple%20and%20straightforward.%20%20I%20enjoyed%20the%20food%20and%20wine.%20In%20my%20opinion,%20this%20place%20is%20good%20for%20family%20but%20not%20so%20fancy%20for%20a%20first%20date%20spot.%20That%20evening%20we%20finished%20it%20off%20with%20their%20homemade%20cheesecake.%20They%20had%20special%20desserts%20that%20night%20but%20our%20waiter%20said%20they%20had%20a%20really%20good%20cheesecake,%20so%20we%20gave%20it%20a%20try.%20After%20that%20there%20was%20a%20sigh%20with%20hmm..%20SO%20GOOD!%20and%20I%20ate%20the%20last%20amount%20of%20the%20shared%20dessert.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20would%20definitely%20come%20back%20here%20when%20craving%20for%20good%20steak.%20Highly%20recommended.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
