.%20To%20make%20it%20worse,%20being%20a%20high%20holy%20day%20the%20priests%20bust%20out%20the%20incense.%20Incense%20makes%20me%20sick%20under%20the%20best%20of%20circumstances%20and%20they%20got%20really%20enthusiastic%20with%20it.%20It%20was%20like%20someone%20had%20fogged%20the%20alter%20with%20it.%20Unfortunately%20the%20clouds%20of%20nauseous%20incense%20that%20were%20intensifying%20my%20migraine%20did%20nothing%20to%20obscure%20the%20several%20hundred%20people%20staring%20at%20me;%20nor%20did%20they%20hide%20me%20from%20them.%20Needless%20to%20say%20I%20did%20not%20get%20the%20first%20note%20right.%20I%20think%20I%20got%20it%20together%20by%20the%20first%20verse%20though.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20that%20weren't%20enough%20I%20also%20went%20to%20Christmas%20morning%20Mass%20so%20I%20had%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eonly%20a%20handful%20of%20hours%20to%20learn%20a%20new%20Psalm.%20It%20went%20much%20worse%20this%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Emorning.%20Much,%20much%20worse.%20I%20should%20have%20had%20Gluehwein%20with%20breakfast%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Einstead%20of%20coffee.%20I%20didn't%20manage%20to%20pull%20things%20together%20until%20round%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eabout%20the%20third%20verse.%20At%20least%20there%20were%20less%20people%20this%20morning.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20I%20couldn't%20go%20home%20to%20my%20family%20again%20this%20year,%20at%20least%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Emodern%20technology%20makes%20it%20less%20depressing%20(no%20more%20crying%20during%20Home%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlone).%20My%20sister%20and%20I%20talked%20via%20Skype%20when%20I%20got%20home%20and%20she%20and%20my%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ebrother-in-law%20taunted%20me%20by%20showing%20me%20the%20ham%20he%20prepared%20for%20dinner.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20at%20about%201.15AM%20my%20brother%20set%20up%20a%20Google%20Hangout%20so%20I%20could%20talk%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eto%20him,%20my%20parents,%20and%20the%20cousins%20who%20go%20to%20my%20parents'%20for%20Christmas%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEve.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20being%20actual%20Christmas%20day%20and%20all%20of%20course%20we're%20going%20to%20talk%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eabout%20a%20hot%20chocolate!%20I%20enjoy%20cardamom%20in%20coffee%20so%20why%20not%20in%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Echocolate?%20Like%20cayenne,%20cardamom%20is%20not%20to%20be%20used%20with%20a%20liberal%20hand.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETaste%20and%20add%20as%20you%20go!%20To%20accompany%20the%20hot%20chocolate,%20today%20I'm%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewatching%20my%20other%20favorite%20version%20of%20The%20Christmas%20Carol-Micky%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMouse's.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20used%20to%20watch%20this%20every%20year%20of%20TV%20when%20we%20were%20kids.%20Then%20it%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Edisappeared%20and%20you%20couldn't%20find%20it%20for%20love%20or%20money.%20But%20Disney,%20not%20a%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecompany%20to%20miss%20the%20chance%20to%20make%20money%20any%20way%20it%20can,%20finally%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ereleased%20it%20on%20DVD%20some%20years%20ago.%20In%20addition%20to%20the%20Christmas%20Carol%20is%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20short%20with%20Chip%20and%20Dale%20creating%20a%20ruckus%20with%20Mickey's%20tree%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Esome%20cartoon%20about%20a%20donkey%20that%20we%20never%20fail%20to%20skip.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20can%20never%20decide%20which%20version%20I%20like%20better;%20the%20Muppets'%20or%20Mickey.%20The%20Muppet%20version%20has%20the%20fantastic%20ghosts%20and%20Gonzo...but%20it%20also%20has%20singing%20and%20puppets.%20Shudder.%20Mickey's%20version%20has%20Goofy%20and%20is%20what%20introduced%20Uncle%20Scrooge%20to%20us.%20I%20don't%20really%20like%20Donald%20(or%20Huey,%20Duey,%20and%20Louie)%20but%20I%20love%20Scrooge%20McDuck.%20I'm%20also%20less%20tempted%20to%20smack%20the%20Mickey%20Tiny%20Tim.%20I'll%20just%20have%20to%20keep%20watching%20them%20both%20year%20after%20year%20until%20I%20decide!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20Merry%20and%20Blessed%20Christmas%20from%20ParMieux%20Adventures!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20milk%20and%20cream%20until%20hot%20or%20just%20bubbling%20around%20the%20edges.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20in%20chocolate,%20cocoa%20powder,%20and%20cardamom.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20more%20cardamom%20(or%20not)%20to%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnjoy!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
