Ingredientes

  • 1 c. dry pinto beans
  • 3 c. reserved chicken broth see * Note
  • 3 x bacon slices diced
  • 1 sm onion minced
  • 1 sm green bell pepper minced
  • 2 tsp grnd cumin
  • 2 tsp chili pwdr
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper

Direcciones

  1. Sort and wash pinto beans; place in a large saucepan. Cover with water 2 inches above beans, and bring to a boil. Boil beans 1 minute. Cover, remove from heat, and let soak 1 hour. Drain.
  2. Bring beans, broth, and remaining ingredients to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 2 hrs. Chill, if you like; reheat over medium heat.
