Ingredientes
- 1 c. dry pinto beans
- 3 c. reserved chicken broth see * Note
- 3 x bacon slices diced
- 1 sm onion minced
- 1 sm green bell pepper minced
- 2 tsp grnd cumin
- 2 tsp chili pwdr
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
Direcciones
- Sort and wash pinto beans; place in a large saucepan. Cover with water 2 inches above beans, and bring to a boil. Boil beans 1 minute. Cover, remove from heat, and let soak 1 hour. Drain.
- Bring beans, broth, and remaining ingredients to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 2 hrs. Chill, if you like; reheat over medium heat.
