Ingredientes

  • 125 gm Butter, (4oz)
  • 2 Tbsp. Golden brown syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
  • 1 x 150 gram pac Deluxe lowfat milk or possibly plain chocolate, melted (5z)
  • 250 gm Digestive biscuits, crushed (8oz)
  • 50 gm Californian seedless raisins, halved (2oz)
  • 50 gm French glace cherries, diced (2oz)
  • 40 gm Hazelnuts, roughly minced (11/2 ounce)
  • 50 gm Butter, (2oz)
  • 125 gm Icing sugar, sifted (4oz)
  • 1 Tbsp. Cocoa pwdr, sifted
  • 2 tsp Warm water
  • 1 sm Hand shaped holly leaves and berries to, (or possibly use a small decorate, holly shaped cutter) made from coloured fondant icing
  •     Icing sugar to dust

Direcciones

  1. Place the butter, golden brown syrup and lowfat milk in a large mixing bowl and set over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir till the butter has melted.
  2. Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the melted chocolate and crushed biscuits mixing well. Stir in the raisins, cherries and nuts and mix well to combine.
  3. Cover and refrigeratein the refrigerator till the mix is hard.
  4. Shape Tbsp. of the mix into small log shapes. With some of the shapes add in on a small round of mix to the side, to create a branch effect. Repeat this process till all the mix has been used. Cover and refrigeratewhile the buttercream is made.
  5. To make the buttercream beat the butter till it is soft and smooth.
  6. Gradually beat in the icing sugar with the cocoa pwdr and water. Mix till creamy and light in texture.
  7. Spread the buttercream proportionately over the mini yule logs to completely cover, shape and mark lines with a fork. Place on the fondant icing, holly leaves and berries, dust lightly with icing sugar and place into petit four cases to serve.
