,%20plus%20the%20guidance%20that%20it%20must%20be%20book%20number%2018%20%E2%80%93%20I%20pulled%20out%20a%20book%20titled%20Sweet%20Treats:%2030%20minutes%20or%20Less%20that%20I%20had%20picked%20up%20several%20years%20back%20cheaply%20but%20I%20had%20never%20made%20anything%20from%20it%20before.%20Though%20I%20got%20off%20lightly,%20book%20number%2019%20was%20an%20awful%20book%20involving%20pre-packaged%20crap%20from%20the%201980%E2%80%99s!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20first%20recipe%20I%20flicked%20too%20was%20titled%20%E2%80%98Mexican%20glazed%20Pumpkin.%20Erm%20yeah%20no,%20sorry,%20I%20am%20cheating,%20its%20not%20exactly%20pumpkin%20season%20and%20in%20general%20it%20was%20never%20going%20to%20happen!%20I%20decided%20to%20re-flick%20at%20random%20and%20fortunately%20the%20book%20opened%20at%20Mocha%20Coconut%20Clusters!%20Far%20more%20to%20my%20taste!%20Also%20I%20had%20everything%20in%20the%20cupboards%20which%20sealed%20the%20deal!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%2030%20(ish)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%20%E2%80%93%20see%20notes%20after!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eit!%20Roughly%20weighed%20in%20at%2025g.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ec)%20Coffee%20%E2%80%93%20I%20used%20new%20Kenco%20Millicano,%20which%20is%20also%20my%20new%20favourite%20instant%20coffee,%20though%20it%20tastes%20more%20like%20filter%20coffee!%20Please%20see%20the%20bottom%20of%20this%20post%20for%20more%20information%20about%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ed)%2055g%20coconut%20is%20a%20lie!%20I%20made%20the%20recipe%20up%20as%20per%20the%20instructions,%20tried%20to%20spoon%20onto%20the%20baking%20tray%20but%20it%20spread%20out%20rather%20than%20'clustered'.%20I%20scraped%20the%20mixture%20back%20in%20the%20pan,%20added%20about%204%20heaped%20dessert%20spoons%20more%20of%20coconut%20until%20it%20was%20more%20solidified%20and%20able%20to%20form%20into%20clusters,%20rather%20than%20smoosh!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20after%20all%20that,%20if%20you%20still%20fancy%20having%20a%20go,%20they%20are%20actually%20very%20quick%20and%20easy%20to%20make,%20and%20more%20importantly%20I%20rather%20like%20them!%20The%20initial%20taste%20is%20the%20chocolate,%20then%20comes%20the%20crispy%20coconut%20and%20its%20texture,%20then%20a%20gorgeous%20coffee%20flavour%20hits%20you%20gently,%20yet%20firmly.%20Yum!%20Though%20strictly%20for%20coffee%20lovers%20only!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1)%20Gently%20melt%20the%20butter%20and%20chocolate%20together.%20The%20recipe%20suggests%20doing%20this%20in%20a%20bowl%20over%20simmering%20water;%20however%20I%20use%20Meyer%20Analon%20saucepans%20which%20have%20some%20fancy%20coating%20and%20never%20bother%20with%20this%20stage!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2)%20Remove%20from%20the%20heat%20and%20stir%20in%20the%20coffee%20until%20its%20dissolved%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3)%20Stir%20in%20the%20coconut,%20referring%20to%20above%20guidance,%20use%20a%20teaspoon%20(and%20fingers!)%20to%20spoon%20small%20heaps%20onto%20a%20tray%20lined%20with%20baking%20paper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4)%20Place%20in%20the%20fridge%20to%20set%20%E2%80%93%20this%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20take%20very%20long.%20Transfer%20into%20petit%20four%20cases%20and%20bring%20to%20stand%20at%20room%20temperature%20briefly%20before%20serving.%20The%20clusters%20will%20keep%20for%20several%20days%20refrigerated.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20thanks%20also%20to%20Sophie%20at%20Golin%20Harris%20and%20Kenco%20for%20sending%20me%20the%20lovely%20goody%20bag%20that%20brightened%20up%20a%20very%20dull%20afternoon%20during%20my%20recent%20bout%20of%20illness.%20I%20had%20regrettably%20been%20unable%20to%20attend%20an%20event%20launching%20the%20new%20Kenco%20Millicano%20instant%20coffee,%20which%20is%20made%20from%20a%20combination%20of%20instant%20coffee%20and%20finely-milled%20beans%20and%20is%20available%20now%20in%20the%20shops.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAmongst%20other%20things,%20I%20had%20been%20unable%20to%20tolerate%20coffee%20during%20the%20last%20few%20months%20and%20I%20had%20been%20missing%20it%20terribly,%20so%20the%20coffee%20arrived%20with%20perfect%20timing%20as%20better%20health%20thankfully%20returned!%20I%20celebrated%20my%20return%20to%20coffee%20with%20a%20welcome%20cup%20of%20coffee%20made%20using%20the%20Kenco%20Millicano,%20along%20with%20the%20lovely%20Helen%20from%20Fuss%20Free%20Flavours%20who%20braved%20our%20local%20bus%20service%20and%20very%20kindly%20visited%20me%20for%20lunch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I've%20gotten%20older,%20I%20have%20become%20quite%20fussy%20with%20my%20coffee,%20I%20like%20it%20strong,%20black%20and%20a%20little%20sugar%20to%20sweeten,%20(or%20tar%20as%20my%20dearest%20likes%20to%20refer%20to%20it%20as!)%20Unfortunately%20in%20my%20first%20cup%20I%20added%20too%20much%20water%20and%20it%20was%20a%20little%20weak%20for%20my%20liking,%20though%20on%20my%20second%20cup%20I%20perfected%20it%20and%20used%20my%20favourite%20small%20bunny%20mug%20instead,%20a%20heaped%20teaspoon%20of%20Millicano%20and%20a%20spoonful%20of%20sugar.%20Bliss!%20The%20coffee%20has%20all%20the%20convenience%20of%20an%20instant%20yet%20has%20the%20smooth%20taste%20of%20filter%20coffee,%20particularly%20handy%20as%20I%20am%20currently%20cafetiere-less%20and%20it%20saves%20me%20buying%20a%20replacement!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
