Ingredientes

  • 2 ounce Chocolate, (squares, melted, or possibly envelopes)
  • 1 c. Cream
  • 1 c. Extra-strong coffee
  • 5 x Egg yolks
  • 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 1 pch Salt
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Rum

Direcciones

  1. Blend the chocolate, cream and coffee.
  2. Beat the egg yolks till light, add in the sugar slowly, then the salt.
  3. Beat this till it is thick and creamy. Add in the chocolate mix and blend.
  4. Mix the cornstarch and lowfat milk and stir into the custard mix. Turn the whole into the top of a double boiler and cook over simmering water till thick and smooth. Cold. Add in the rum.
  5. Makes about 3 c.. This will cover 2 layers of a 3-layer cake or possibly 8 large cream puffs.
