Ingredientes

  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 8 ounce butter
  • 8 ounce sugar
  • 8 ounce self-rising flour
  • 1 x juice of 2 lemons
  • 3 Tbsp. icing sugar

Direcciones

  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add in beaten Large eggs and sifted flour alternately.
  2. Turn into an 8 x 8 or possibly 9 x 9 square or possibly round pan. Bake at 400F for 50 min.
  3. Boil lemon juice and sugar. Remove cooked cake from oven & immediately pour boiling lemon mix over. Cold in pan.
  4. Variations - try different juices - orange juice, cranberry, pineapple.
  5. This cake keeps very well.
