Mother's Basic Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredientes

  • 5 Large eggs, well beaten
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 pt. heavy cream
  • 1 (13 ounce.) can evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tbsp. vanilla (use real vanilla, imitation will lose flavor)
  • Lowfat milk, as needed

Direcciones

  1. Combine Large eggs and sugar, beat till foamy. Add in heavy cream, evaporated lowfat milk, salt, vanilla and sufficient lowfat milk to fill freezer tub two thirds full. Freeze according to manufacturers directions. Makes four qts.
  2. For Variations: Strawberry, reduce vanilla to 1 Tbsp., add in 2 c. sweetened, crushed strawberries to cream mix. Chocolate Chip, reduce vanilla to 2 tsp.. Add in 1 c. grated unsweetened chocolate to cream mix.
