Mother's Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Karo light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c. pecans, coarsely minced
  • 10 to 12 pecan halves

Direcciones

  1. Cook sugar and syrup till slightly thickened (7 to 8 min). Pour slowly over beaten Large eggs. Add in butter, vanilla and minced pecans. Pour filling into prepared pie shell. Arrange pecan halves around edge of pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 min. Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake 40 min longer or possibly till the center is hard. Cold before serving. Top with sweetened whipped cream, if you like.
