Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Dry Beans (black, kidney, garbonzos, or possibly a mix)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 lrg Onion, minced
  • 1 cl Garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 lb Meaty Ham Hock
  • 2 c. Minced Fresh Tomatoes
  • 1 x Jalapeno Pepper, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Fresh Grnd Black Pepper
  • 2 c. Chicken Stock

Direcciones

  1. Wash beans and put in a large stockpot. Add in water to cover and add in salt.
  2. Soak overnight.
  3. Drain and add in remaining ingredients. Simmer over low to medium heat for 3-4 hrs or possibly till tender. Remove ham hock. Pick meat off bone and return meat to pot. Throw away bone and fat. Soup is ready to serve.
