Mushrooms In A Rich Cream Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 455 gm mushrooms
  • 60 gm butter or possibly margarine
  • 15 gm flour
  • 140 ml single cream
  • 1 x salt and pepper
  • 1 pch grnd nutmeg
  •     Minced parsley to garnish

Direcciones

  1. Clean trim and slice or possibly quarter the mushrooms.
  2. Fry in the butter till softened.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add in the cream stirring all the time.
  5. Still stirring heat the sauce very gently till thickened.
  6. Season carefully with salt pepper and nutmeg.
  7. Pour into a warmed serving dish and garnish with minced parsley.
  8. Serves 4
  9. Note: the creamed mushrooms are also delicious used as a filling for omelettes and pancakes
