Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Dry pinto beans, soaked overnight
  • 6 c. Water, for soaking beans
  • 10 sprg cilantro
  • 6 lrg Garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 stalk celery, minced
  • 2 x Carrot, minced
  • 1 lrg Onion, minced
  • 1 med Green bell pepper, minced
  • 3 x Chicken bouillon cube
  • 2 tsp Chili pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 sm Ham bone

Direcciones

  1. Wash and sort the beans, soak beans overnight in water. Drain and rince the beans and place in pressure cooker. In a food processor, chop the vegetables into a fine chop. Place vegetable mix into pressure cooker, add in the seasonings and spices.
  2. Cook on medium-high heat for 20-25 min.
  3. NOTES :
  4. Traditional soak: In a large pot, add in 3 c. of cold water to each c. of beans (or possibly 6 c. for each lb.). Soak up to 8 hrs or possibly overnight in the refrigerator. Drain and rince the beans.
  5. Quick soak: In a large pot, add in 3 c. of cold water to each c. of beans (or possibly 6 c. for each lb.). Slowly bring the water to a boil and cook the beans for 2 min. Cover the pot and let beans stand for 1 hour. Drain and rince the beans.
  6. Can cook on stovetop in a large pot for 1 1/2 hrs over medium-heat, stirring every 10-15 min or possibly in a crock pot on low for 9-10 hrs.
