Ingredientes

  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. minced rose geranium leaves
  • 4 x pitted nectarines pitted, and
  •     cut into 3/4" wedges
  • 1 c. blackberries

Direcciones

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk the water and sugar over high heat till the sugar is in suspension and no longer mounded on the bottom of the pan. Bring the mix to a boil and cook till all of the sugar is dissolved, about 5 min. If this happens before the water boils, heat to the boil anyway.
  2. When the water comes to a boil, remove the pan from the heat and add in the rose geranium leaves. Let the mix steep at least 10 min while you're slicing the nectarines.
  3. Combine the nectarines and blackberries in a large bowl or possibly divide proportionately among 6 small ones. Ladle the hot syrup through a strainer over the fruit. This can be done up to 2 hrs in advance and held at room temperature till serving.
  4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
