Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Bread crumbs, soft
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 lb Grnd beef
  • 3/4 lb Grnd pork, lean
  • 1/2 c. Onion, finely minced
  • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Allspice
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. Bacon drippings, or possibly salad oil
  • 8 ounce Grape jelly

Direcciones

  1. Soak bread crumbs in lowfat milk for one hour. Combine grnd beef, pork and onion. Add in Large eggs, lowfat milk, bread crumb mix. Add in salt, pepper and spices.
  2. Mix well and whip with a fork. Refrigerateone to two hrs. Shape into small balls, roll in flour and brown in bacon drippings or possibly oil. Shake pan or possibly heavy skillet to roll meat balls around in warm grease (not too warm). Place in crock pot with 1 large jar grape jelly and cook on SLOW for one hour.
