Norwegian Meatcakes With Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 500 gr/1 lb grnd beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp grnd ginger
  • 2 tbsp potato flour/starch
  • 7 (2 dl)/fl. ounce lowfat milk
  • 1 egg

Direcciones

  1. Place grnd beef into a bowl, add in salt, and work in. It should become sticky. Add in the potato starch and spices. Stir well.
  2. Add in lowfat milk 2 Tbsp. at a time. (Stir well before adding more lowfat milk!)
  3. Add in the egg. With a Tbsp. dipped in cool water, form small "cakes"/"cookies" and fry them in a frying pan with butter.
  4. Remove and place on a plate when cooked.
  5. Sauce:
  6. After you have fried the meatcakes, add in the 2 c. of water to the pan and let it boil. After a minute, pour it into another pan/kettle.
  7. Add in the bouillon cube and bring to a boil. Mix the lowfat milk/water and flour (no lumps).
  8. Add in the lowfat milk/flour mix to the boiling water while stirring. Add in meatcakes to the sauce and let it simmer for 10-15 min.
  9. Salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve with boiled potatoes and peas.
