Nutmeg Logs

Ingredientes

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Additional sugar

Direcciones

  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Beat in the egg and vanilla
  3. Combine the flour, nutmeg, and salt
  4. Gradually add to the creamed mixture
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm
  6. On a sugared surface, shape 1/2 cupfuls of dough into 1/2 inch logs.
  7. Cut the logs into 2 inch to 2 1/2 inch pieces
  8. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets
  9. Bake at 350 F for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned
  10. Remove to wire racks to cool
