Oak Alley Restaurant Bread Pudding

Ingredientes

  • 8 c. Sugar
  • 10 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3/4 c. Raisins
  • 10 x Po-boy loaves or possibly hoagies
  • 10 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 lb Butter
  • 1 c. White sugar
  • 2 c. Water
  • 1/4 lb Butter
  • 1/2 c. Whiskey

Direcciones

  1. For the pudding 1. Mix all ingredients except bread. Break bread into pcs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  2. Mix into bowl with hands. Pour into a 9 X 24 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 1-1/2 hrs.
  3. To Make the Sauce: 1. Boil water, sugar and butter for 30 min. Add in whiskey.
  4. Remove from heat. Pour over hot bread pudding.
