- 1 teaspoon kosher salt (use less if it isnât Diamond Crystal brand)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 white onion
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Flaky sea salt (Maldon)
- Cilantro for garnish
