Ingredientes

  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 c. Thinly sliced onions
  • 1/4 c. Flour
  • 5 c. BEEF STOCK
  •     Salt & pepper
  • 3/4 c. Grated med cheddar
  • 3/4 c. Grated swiss
  • 1/4 c. Grated Parmesan

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 325. Cut bread into 1/2" thick slices. Bake 25-30 min or possibly till dry & lightly browned; set aside. Heat butter in frying pan; cook onions over low heat, stirring occasionally till rich golden, 30 min. Sprinkle flour over onions & cook, stirring, 2 min. Add in stock, salt & pepper; simmer 30 min.
  2. Transfer to bowls & top with bread. Combine cheeses & sprinkle over bread. Place under broiler till bubbly & lightly browned.
