Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 1/3 c. Beef suet, grnd twice
  • 1/3 c. Shortening
  •     Cool water
  •     MEAT FILLING FOR PASTIES
  •     Butter

  1. Sift flour with salt & baking pwdr. Add in beef suet & shortening & cut fat into flour till particles are very fine. Add in sufficient cool water to make a dough the consistency of pie crust. Chill. Roll out dough to 1/8" thickness on a lightly floured board. Cut out eight 7" rounds. Divide meat filling into 8 portions & cover half of each round with the mix. Dot top of filling with butter. Fold pastry over filling & seal by moistening edges. Lift with a spatula & put on a cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven of 350 for 1 hour, or possibly till pastry is golden.
