Even though Patio Drive-In was voted third best in the state of Utah, but down in the Southeastern corner of Utah; it is rated number one. The shop is small with booths lining the front and one side of the interior; the drive thru is around the back and it's not unusual to see a line of vehicles parked along the side of the road waiting their turn. It's an old fashioned type of "burger joint", and the food is what makes it stand apart. %3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBlanding,%20Utah,%2084511%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(435)%20678-2177%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWebsite:%20https://www.facebook.com/pages/Patio-Drive-In/141108519094%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEven%20though%20Patio%20Drive-In%20was%20voted%20third%20best%20in%20the%20state%20of%20Utah,%20but%20down%20in%20the%20Southeastern%20corner%20of%20Utah;%20it%20is%20rated%20number%20one.%20%20The%20shop%20is%20small%20with%20booths%20lining%20the%20front%20and%20one%20side%20of%20the%20interior;%20the%20drive%20thru%20is%20around%20the%20back%20and%20it's%20not%20unusual%20to%20see%20a%20line%20of%20vehicles%20parked%20along%20the%20side%20of%20the%20road%20waiting%20their%20turn.%20%20It's%20an%20old%20fashioned%20type%20of%20%22burger%20joint%22,%20and%20the%20food%20is%20what%20makes%20it%20stand%20apart.%20%20Each%20order%20is%20made%20fresh,%20no%20heat%20lamps%20keeping%20hockey%20puck%20patties%20warm;%20the%20shakes%20are%20hand%20crafted%20also%20and%20the%20sizes%20available%20(small,%20medium,%20large)%20are%20much%20larger%20than%20you'll%20think%20(small=medium,%20medium=large,%20large=%22how%20am%20I%20going%20to%20finish%20this!!!%22)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPatio%20Drive-In%20is%20open%20only%20six%20days%20a%20week%20(currently%2010:30am%20to%209pm);%20they're%20closed%20on%20Sundays%20which%20is%20a%20big%20disadvantage%20to%20them%20during%20tourist%20season,%20and%20a%20large%20disappointment%20to%20locals%20and%20tourists%20alike.%20%20Whether%20you%20eat%20in,%20sit%20outside%20at%20one%20of%20their%20patio%20tables,%20or%20take%20a%20%22to-go%22%20meal%20to%20enjoy%20elsewhere;%20the%20menu%20will%20have%20something%20you'll%20enjoy.%20%20Three%20of%20us%20went%20there%20after%20the%20lunch%20rush%20and%20our%20meals%20only%20took%20about%2015%20minutes%20to%20get%20to%20us;%20piping%20hot%20and%20looking%20awesomely%20delicious.%20%20When%20Patio%20Drive-In%20is%20busy,%20allow%20at%20least%2030%20minutes%20to%20get%20your%20meal;%20yes!%20they%20get%20that%20busy%20and%20remember,%20the%20food%20is%20made%20fresh.%20%20You%20can%20always%20call%20their%20number,%20place%20an%20order%20and%20then%20pick%20it%20up%20if%20you%20don't%20want%20to%20wait.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20burgers%20are%20large,%20thick,%20nicely%20seasoned,%20juicy%20and%20delicious.%20%20While%20you%20can%20order%20a%20burger%20or%20sandwich%20by%20itself,%20your%20best%20bet%20is%20the%20basket%20which%20comes%20with%20French%20fries%20and%20a%20drink.%20%20The%20fries%20are%20crispy%20on%20the%20outside,%20fluffy%20on%20the%20inside%20and%20lightly%20salted,%20so%20that%20potato%20taste%20comes%20through%20clear.%20%20Of%20course%20you'll%20get%20a%20little%20container%20of%20%22fry%20sauce%22;%20it's%20a%20Utah%20thing%20and%20you%20have%20to%20try%20it%20out.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Philly%20Cheese%20Steak,%20then%20try%20out%20the%20Chicken%20Philly.%20%20This%20is%20not%20pressed,%20thin%20sheets%20of%20chicken;%20it's%20chunks%20of%20grilled%20chicken%20with%20strips%20of%20green%20bell%20pepper%20and%20red%20onion.%20%20The%20cheese%20is%20melted%20onto%20the%20toasted%20roll%20with%20the%20chicken%20and%20veggies%20piled%20on%20top.%20%20It%20is%20slightly%20salty,%20but%20it%20brings%20all%20the%20flavors%20of%20the%20other%20ingredients%20together%20so%20well.%20%20This%20is%20one%20of%20my%20favorites%20from%20Patio,%20and%20I'm%20hard%20pressed%20to%20choose%20anything%20else%20when%20I%20go%20there.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast,%20but%20certainly%20not%20least,%20the%20Grilled%20Ham%20and%20Cheese;%20served%20between%20slices%20of%20thick,%20toasted%20bread%20with%20a%20nice%20serving%20of%20ham%20that%20gives%20you%20full%20flavor%20without%20overpowering%20the%20cheese.%20%20This%20is%20an%20adult%20grilled%20cheese%20that%20even%20a%20child%20would%20enjoy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhether%20you're%20on%20your%20way%20to%20a%20park%20or%20historical%20site,%20and%20need%20a%20picnic%20meal;%20looking%20for%20a%20lunch%20or%20dinner%20and%20live%20in%20the%20area;%20looking%20for%20great,%20old%20fashioned%20%22drive-in%22%20food,%20then%20Patio%20Drive-In%20is%20the%20place%20you're%20looking%20for%20when%20in%20the%20Blanding,%20Utah%20area.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMary%20Cokenour%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
