Ingredientes

  • 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 1 x clove garlic
  • 1 lb grnd beef
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 28 ounce tomatoes, canned
  • 8 ounce tomato sauce
  • 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dry parsley
  • 1 lb lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb cottage cheese
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c. grated parmesan or possibly r
  •     cheese or possibly a mix

Direcciones

  1. Heat the oil in a large heavy sauce pan. Sauteeonions and garlic for 5 min.
  2. Stir in grnd beef, cook over medium heat for till browned.
  3. Add in salt, tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water, basil, oregano, sugar and parsley. Bring to a boil and simmer for 45 min.
  4. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Add in a Tbsp. oil while cooking to prevent sticking. Drain, rinse and cold.
  5. Blend cottage cheese and egg in bowl. Preheat oven to 375F. Grease a 13 x 9.5 x 3 inch baking pan.
  6. Arrange alternate layers of sauce, lasagna, cottage cheese/egg mix mozzarella, finishing with sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan or possibly romano cheese.
  7. Bake for 35 min at 375F (F). Let stand for 10 min before serving.
  8. NOTE: For the lazy mans' alternative, use uncooked noodles and add in 1/ 3/4 c. of water to dish before baking.
