Ingredientes

  • 4 quarts. small onions
  • 1 c. salt
  • 1/4 c. pickling spices
  • 2 quarts. vinegar
  • 2 c. sugar

Direcciones

  1. Peel onions. Add in salt and let stand overnight. In the morning, put in colander and rinse thoroughly with cool water to remove all salt. Drain. Tie spices loosely in a bag; boil 10 min with vinegar and sugar. Throw away spices. Pack onions into warm, sterilized jars. pour boiling warm vinegar mix over. Seal at once. Makes 8 pints.
