Ingredientes

  • 2 c. fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1/3 c. maple syrup
  • 2 x bananas
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 c. pineapple juice
  • 2 Tbsp. rum
  •     Or possibly two tsp. rum flavoring

  1. In some parts of the world the pineapple is used as a symbol for hospitality
  2. Line broiler pan with foil and preheat. In a medium bowl, combine pineapple chunks and maple syrup and toss to coat. With a slotted spoon, transfer pineapple chunks to broiler pan. (There will he leftover maple syrup in the bowl.) Broil pineapple, turning often, till golden, about 10 min.
  3. Peel and slice bananas and sprinkle with lemon juice. In a small pan, or possibly in a microwave, hot pineapple juice and add in to maple syrup in bowl. Remove foil holding pineapple chunks from broiler and scrape chunks and cooking juices into a bowl. Add in bananas and mm and mix thoroughly to combine. Serve hot.
