Ingredientes

  • 5 lbs. plums, crushed (about 4 1/2 quarts.)
  • 1 c. water
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1/2 bottle (6 ounce.) pectin

Direcciones

  1. Heat plums and water to boiling point in Dutch oven; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 min. Strain warm; don't press pulp through strainer. Strain juice through 2 thicknesses of cheesecloth.
  2. Mix 3 c. plum juice and sugar. Heat; stir constantly. Bring to a full rolling boil. Add in pectin; heat to full rolling boil. Boil 1 minute. Skim off foam; pour into warm sterilized jars. Leave 1/2 inch from top and seal.
