%20made%20it%20at%20home%20this%20weekend,%20and%20it%20was%20just%20as%20good%20if%20not%20better.%20You%20have%20to%20try%20this.%20No,%20I'm%20NOT%20joking,%20try%20THIS!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOh,%20and%20for%20those%20of%20you%20who%20say,%20well%20I%20don't%20have%20an%20ice%20cream%20machine,%20it%20doesn't%20matter.%20I%20don't%20either.%20I%20just%20froze%20it%20fully%20in%20dishes%20and%20it%20was%20fine.%20The%20ice%20cream%20machine%20gives%20it%20a%20lighter%20texture%20and%20%22airyness%22%20but,%20just%20let%20it%20sit%20for%20ten%20minutes%20before%20you%20eat%20it,%20let%20it%20soften,%20and%20it's%20great.%20Besides,%20why%20pay%20$40.00%20for%20a%20machine%20you'll%20use%20twice%20a%20year%20for%20a%20couple%20of%20years,%20and%20then%20move,%20and%20it%20never%20get's%20unpacked??%20LOL%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere's%20my%20thought,%20whip%20up%20some%20homemade%20Popcorn%20Ice%20Cream%20in%20the%20morning,%20let%20it%20freeze%20all%20day,%20then%20rent%20the%20kids%20and/or%20family%20a%20movie,%20and%20serve%20this.....%20and%20blow%20THEM%20away%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOh,%20and%20best%20of%20all,%20it's%20soooooo%20easy!%20Here's%20all%20you%20do....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20eggs%20and%20sugar%20together%20until%20well%20combined.%20Pour%20into%20large%20kettle.%20Add%20milk,%20cream%20and%20salt.%20Turn%20heat%20to%20low.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile%20pop%20one%20bag%20of%20microwave%20buttered%20popcorn.%20Open%20bag,%20pour%20entire%20contents%20into%20ice%20cream%20mixture,%20and%20stir%20to%20combine.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETurn%20heat%20to%20high,%20and%20bring%20to%20a%20boil,%20stirring%20constantly.%20As%20soon%20as%20it%20reaches%20a%20boil,%20turn%20off%20heat,%20and%20let%20the%20popcorn%20steep%20in%20the%20ice%20cream%20mixture%20for%20one%20hour.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStrain%20popcorn%20and%20ice%20cream%20mixture%20through%20cheesecloth%20into%20a%20bowl.%20Enclose%20the%20top%20of%20the%20cheesecloth%20with%20your%20hands%20and%20squeeze%20thoroughly%20to%20capture%20as%20much%20ice%20cream%20mixture%20as%20you%20can.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20have%20an%20ice%20cream%20machine,%20follow%20the%20instructions%20for%20that.%20If%20you%20don't%20have%20an%20ice%20cream%20maker,%20just%20pour%20into%20appropriate%20sized%20dishes,%20sprinkle%20with%20a%20fair%20coating%20of%20sea%20salt%20and%20freeze%20thoroughly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20refrigerator,%20let%20defrost%20for%2015%20minutes%20and%20serve.%20Try%20to%20fight%20the%20urge%20to%20rent%20a%20movie.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnjoy!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
